"I am a near 30 year old woman who has decided to give up my natural rights to have children: Not because I don't believe that I would be a good mother, or because I lack matnernal instincts; not because I don't desire to raise children, but because I would never forgive myself for bringing a child into this current world. Deep in my bones I fear the selfish people that we've become on a global scale and the future of our beautiful Planet Earth. We're tearing through our resources, our environment, our water, crops, forests, animals, any life that exists for anything non human. We believe that we our so special because we're the only life forms formed like us, so we continue to take what mother nature has so gracefully provided, as though its ours, anything we want, with no regard for other life forms. I think of the future of Earth, resources, pollution, population explosions all over the world, and I'm afraid. After reading the Charter I finally feel hope for a new type of future."

"I've spent my life evolving and seeking, going from one ideology or religion to the next; knowing we are living wrong in this age. With the Venus Project, along with Zeitgeist, I feel like I'm home in a sense. The concepts far surpass religion, politics, left or right, conspiracy, etc., Without a monetary system to thrive in, all those things (along with the most heinous of all...war) will lose their power over us. I just hope it's like the "hundredth monkey syndrome" and we can get to a tipping point where it takes off and our great grandkids will someday be reading about our present and just smile and shake their heads."
